Reviewer Guidelines

Peer Review Process HAPDIS (Harmoni Pendidikan, Islam dan Sains) employs a Double-Blind Peer Review process. Both the reviewer and the author identities are concealed throughout the review process to ensure objectivity and minimize bias.

Reviewer Responsibilities Reviewers are expected to provide professional, constructive, and timely feedback based on the following criteria:

  1. Originality & Novelty: Does the manuscript provide a significant contribution to the fields of Education, Islam, or Science?

  2. Methodological Rigor: Is the research design appropriate? Are the data collection and analysis methods valid and reliable?

  3. Literature Review: Does the paper cite relevant and up-to-date primary sources (Scopus/WoS indexed journals)?

  4. Clarity and Structure: Is the argument logical? Is the English/Indonesian used clear and grammatically correct?

  5. Ethical Compliance: Are there any concerns regarding plagiarism, data fabrication, or ethical approval?

Review Decision Reviewers must recommend one of the following:

  • Accept Submission: The paper is ready for publication as is.

  • Revisions Required: The paper needs minor formal or content changes.

  • Resubmit for Review: The paper needs major changes and a second round of review.

  • Decline Submission: The paper does not meet the journal's quality standards.

Confidentiality & Conflict of Interest Reviewers must treat the manuscript as a confidential document. Any potential Conflict of Interest (COI) must be disclosed to the editor immediately. HAPDIS follows the COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) guidelines for all review activities.
