Plagiarism Screening Policy

The Editorial Board of Journal of Elementary Education and Learning Science (JEELS) recognizes that plagiarism is unacceptable and has established the following policy to ensure the highest standards of integrity in all published articles.

Every manuscript submitted to JEELS will be screened for plagiarism using Turnitin before entering the peer-review process.

  • Similarity Threshold: The maximum allowable similarity index is 20%.

  • Single Source Limit: Similarity to a single source must not exceed 5%.

  • Screening Stages:

    1. Initial Submission: All manuscripts are screened upon submission. Manuscripts exceeding the threshold will be returned to the author for revision or rejected immediately.

    2. Pre-Publication: A final check is conducted before the article is officially published to ensure no overlap with recently published works.

If plagiarism is detected after publication, the journal will follow the COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) guidelines, which may result in a formal retraction of the article.
