Repository Policy

The Journal of Elementary Education and Learning Science (JEELS) encourages authors to self-archive and deposit their work in institutional or other repositories. Our policy regarding the archiving of different versions of a manuscript is as follows:

  1. Pre-print (Submitted Version): Authors are permitted to self-archive their pre-print (the version before peer review) at any time. When the article is published, authors should update the pre-print with a link to the published article (including the DOI).

  2. Post-print (Accepted Version): Authors are permitted to self-archive the accepted version (the manuscript after peer review but before typesetting by the journal). This version can be made available immediately upon acceptance with a link to the journal’s website.

  3. Published Version (Version of Record): Authors are encouraged to deposit the final published PDF (the version with journal branding and pagination) in their institutional repositories, personal websites, or other academic platforms, provided that a link to the original source on the JEELS website and the DOI are included.

Licensing and Attribution All versions deposited in repositories must be attributed to JEELS as the original place of publication. All articles in JEELS are published under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) license, which allows for maximum dissemination and reuse of the work.
